Based on the conversations on twitter, the acolytes of Scheer in their eagerness to wrench power from the ruling Liberal Party, see their path to victory as being the same as the Liberal Party. Telling the voters one thing, and then springing their real program on them after being elected.
I can recall these same conservatives screeching in anger when this same tactic was used by the Ontario provincial Liberals and the Alberta NDP. It would appear that this is only dishonest when the other side does it, or as more astute people would call it, rank hypocrisy.
Here are some choice comments illustrating this urge to be just like the other guys.
When asked about principles, these same conservatives deflect and run for cover. Not surprising, since the Conservative Party of Canada has chosen to remove the link to their own statement of principles...perhaps in shame or so that people do not see the hypocrisy?
It would appear that the last thing the CPC and it's loyal members wish to do, is be honest with the voters and let their ideas stand against the other parties. Instead they seem bent on playing bait and switch,
